Ethel Martinez is the shop owner of Ate Ethel's Fond Memories, formerly known as Gunita Designs. She is a 2nd Generation Filipino-American and currently resides in Yorba Linda, CA with her husband and two kids.

Although she’s a professional graphic designer by day, she loves working on her Filipino-themed illustrations by night. 

Ethel has always been strongly inspired by her parents and her imaginative youth. She wants to tell her story and how she remembered the Philippines through art. She’s also hoping that her Filipino customers get that sense of nostalgia when they see her designs. She understands that even though Filipinos work hard for their families here, or in the motherland, she hopes that her designs will bring them joy when they're feeling home sick.
